As the danger of a 'lost generation' of young people grows, this masterclass will look at the figures, analyse the Coalition Government's policies and discuss future ideas. Presented by our resident policy adviser, Mark Corney, the masterclass will be essential to organisations wanting to understand: > the implications of rising youth unemployment for the raising of the participation age to 18 in 2015 > the role of full-time education in reducing youth unemployment and >the links between the Youth Contract and the Work Programme. The masterclass will be particularly useful for: >those whose role includes policy and planning in their organisation for the raising of the participation age >senior staff and managers from Further education colleges and Universities >providers of the Work Programme >representatives from Awarding Bodies >staff from Local Authorities and Local Employment Partnerships >staff from Local DWP and Jobcentre Plus centres >Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations involved in supporting young people >policy makers involved in full time education | ||||||||
